Participating in this event not only provides an opportunity to get outside and get active, but also to support all public and private Maui Nui Schools. Funds raised from the event will go directly to our keiki’s schools to provide opportunities for physical fitness and play activities at school.

The Annual Maui 5K Run and Walk will take place on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 7 AM until 9 AM.

Online registration closes on February 26 at 6:00 AM HST.
Yes! Late registration will be accepted at race packet pick up for $50 for both the 5K and 1Mile Walk.
Yes! Race day registration increases to $50 for both the 5K, and the 1 mile walk. All registrations received on race day will be UNTIMED and will not qualify for awards. CASH ONLY WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Volunteers will be stationed at 5:30 AM to welcome and register participants on the day of the event.
There will no guarantee of an event T-shirt or the correct size for race day registrants.
Packet pick up will be held at Skechers Store on Saturday, February 28th from 10 AM to 3 PM.
T-Shirts will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis at packet pick up.
At packet pick up, you will receive a t-shirt, race number, safety pins and goodie bag.
Send an email to maui5kinfo@gmail.com and there will be no guarantee of a t-shirt or the correct size.
All registered participants are encouraged to arrive about an hour before the race starts at 7 AM to find parking and to get in on our pre-race festivities!
Yes! All participants will receive a medal as they cross the finish line.
There will be a pre-race warm up led by Keoni’s Hot Lava and music by DJ Zeke starting at 6:00 am.
The 5K run and 1 mile walk will begin at 7 AM on Sunday, March 1st. 5K runners will begin first with the 1 mile walk starting immediately after. All strollers must remain at the “back of the pack”.
You may park in the main lot outside of Maui Ocean Center and parking will be complimentary until 9am, provided by PARKLINQ.
Parking will be provided for free until 9:00 am. If you plan to stay longer you need to register your vehicle by following the instructions posted in the parking lots or your vehicle will be subject to towing.
Everyone is welcome! All keiki and strollers must be accompanied by an adult at the event.
Yes! Strollers are welcome in both the 5K run and 1 mile walk. A registered participant must accompany all strollers. Stroller registration is an additional $10.
Yes! There will be 1 aid station at the turn around up at N. Kihei Rd. to provide water for participants.
Portable toilets will be available, and their locations are marked on the event map.

The Virtual race is for people who will not be able to join us in person. Their event t-shirt and medal will be mailed to them after the event. They may run on their own time and on their own route where ever they live.
Yes, however they must be leashed at all times and you must start at the “back of the pack”.
If you signed up before race day you may qualify for awards. There will be awards for the top 3 male and female runners. There will also be age group awards.

We do not suggest the use of headphones/earbuds for your safety and the safety of others as the roadway will not be completely colsed. Designated officials will be present to direct traffic, and portions of the roads will be closed to ensure obstruction-free running and walking fun!
